Electric Powered Car
As I continue to search for some information about the incredible adventures from that Russian tour operator that I was able to talk to, telling me that there is a Moscow boat trip included in the travel package, I suddenly came across about a new type of vehicle that Mitsubishi Motors have created. I didn’t know how I got there, but according to the news, Mitsubishi is releasing its newest model of car that they refer to as i Miev or the Mitsubishi Innovative Electric Vehicle. It took all of my attention because it is basically a great innovation for the human kind to finally build something that can help solve the oil crisis around the world, and basically help clean nature once people start buying this fascinating piece of greatness coming from Mitsubishi Motors. The car should be able to help prevent global warming, which is currently a big issue that all people should be paying attention to that Mitsubishi certainly was able to concentrate to. The i MiEV is basically a zero-emissions automobile. Even the power plants that were made to generate power for this wonderful vehicle helps nature because they only emit 30% of the CO2 of a gasoline mini car.
An Alternative Activity
I think I got pretty much occupied by the forum in outdoorbasecamp.com. Aside from getting a chance to win in their cool summer promotion by creating a thread I must say that the previous ones are really eye catching. One thing for sure is their scuba forums wherein a lot of interesting entries are posted. I know such a great place to go scuba diving and my only concern now would be scuba and diving gears. Well, my shopping list is ready, other equipments maybe provided by diving companies but then I have to have my own wetsuits, boots, hoods, snorkels, watch and gear bags definitely. I don’t just rely on online shopping; tendency is the gear may not really fit me well. Besides, I won’t just go for the best but have all the knowledge and demonstration for these gears if possible. I think I’ll need a hand on this, and I need to have my diving license first. My friend got her license a month ago and listening to her amazing stories made me reserved my diving lessons. She had her diving in Florida a popular destination for many divers, especially the area that have lovely coral formations, tropical fish abundance and of course luxuriously warm gulf water. All of these are taken from her, in verbatim. I have to listen because she will help me do the shopping.
Saving Money But Stay Protected… Compare Breakdown Cover Before Buying!
It is fair to say that most people are looking for ways to tighten the purse strings these days, what with the UK economy being in the state that it is, and job security at an all time low. However there are some things it may be foolish to stop paying for, life insurance, car insurance and breakdown cover, for example.
Whilst at first, breakdown cover may not seem like such a big deal to be without, there are two main reasons that neglecting this form of protection may be a false economy.
Firstly, the price of the annular breakdown cover can be far less than a single tow off the motorway, which can run at around £150! Not to mention that some forms of cover include a qualified mechanice to attend the scene, who will attempt to get you moving again.
The second reason is less of an economic argument, and more one of avoiding stress! - Being stuck on either a motorway, or a country road is no fun at all, the amount of time you could loose that would have been spent with your family, or at work (depending on your destiation!) is very high.
The above arguments don’t change the fact that you may still need to save money as much as possible at the moment… No problems! - you can possibly get a decent breakdown cover package cheaper than you think. Visiting a comparison website, such as breakdownchoices.co.uk can help you to compare car or , and check deals from pretty much all the top breakdown providers, from the AA to Green Flag Breakdown, so you can be sure to save money, yet stay safe in case of a breakdown.
Drunk driving is unacceptable!
Young drivers are usually the persons who potentially violate the traffic rules. This might seem unreal because young drivers should know the rules and they remember them more clearly than other drivers. At the same time they lack experience and they might be at a loss at roundabouts or in other unknown places. That is why everyone should be very attentive if they see such newbees. But how to find out that there is a young unexperienced driver in front of you? Usually in the European countries there is a special sign that should be put on the rear window reminding others that this car is driven by a novice. Usually this helps to avoid tickets for speeding as other drivers usually mock at the novices and try to overtake them at once they see unexperienced drivers.
The major problem that police in many countries face is impaired driving. Nothing can stop those who do not fear the sanctions, drink and then drive. This is not just dangerous, this is awful and unacceptable. Many countries even deprive of driving license for life those who like to drink and drive. And this is really good though not a universal deterrent factor. I definitely agree that these guys should get as strict sentence as those who are charged with theft under 5000. May be this will put an end to drink driving forever.
Headlight Hunting
I got the 2005-2008 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab TRD and I can’t be more upset with my brother wrecking the right headlight of my truck when he borrowed it to transfer his La-Z Boy chair to his new house. I don’t know what exactly happened but he said it was not his fault because he was just making a turn when a motorcycle hit the front of my pickup truck. Toyota Tacoma headlights hunting is our mission right now and my brother said he will be paying for it, as well as the repair. Now I know that I could always tell him to buy the new one directly from the dealer but then again, I am not that mad to make him spend hundreds of dollars just to have my car fixed. I told him there should be some car parts shop over the internet that we could visit so we could get a discounted price. Last time I checked, I was lucky enough to be able to find a right side headlight for only $59.95, compared to the original price of $252. It should save him a couple of hundred bucks for the part. He said he already has someone to install it to the car.
I got a New 4×4! - But what to do with my old Isuzu Trooper…
I recently bought a new 4×4, and, whilst I love my old Isuzu Trooper, the neighbours didn’t like me having a 4×4 on the drive (obviously I put the new one on there, and had the old Trooper on the road), they thought my trusted Isuzu Trooper looked bad, and made the street look ‘lower class’!
So I decided that it was either get rid of the Trooper, or have a blazing row with the guys next door. As the MOT had JUST run out on the Isuzu, I decided to get rid of her.
Unsure of the laws in the UK at present, I jumped on the web, same as I do for just about any research these days! - I managed to find a company called United Vans, who deal in Van Salvage and scrap car collection - as well as Van Spares.
I gave them a call, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! - Although my Isuzu was out of MOT, and not in the best of shape, the lads at United Vans came and collected her, and even paid me to take her away!
Now the neighbours are happy, and I have some cash to put towards the suspension raising kit on my new 4×4 ;-)… Happy days!
